On Thursday, October 29, 1960, Senator John F. Kennedy, the Democratic Party candidate for president of the United States, spoke at the Snellenburg’s Shopping Center, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. The mall happened to be the meeting place of Trinity Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kennedy used the Trinity podium to deliver his speech. Trinity Church (now in Hatboro) still has the podium in its fellowship hall with an attached plaque marking the occasion.
