On this date in 2018, members of the Youth Committee of the Presbytery of Southern California mission team to Haiti had arrived and were assisting OPC missionaries Ben and Heather Hopp. Their goal during their stay was to help in the catechizing of the next generation of Haitian covenant children on the island of La Gonave using the Children's Catechism translated into Creole. Other team members shown in green tee-shirts include Amy Folkerts, Lydia Goodhart, Leah Buckman, Rose Perkins, Peter Perkins, Alex Patocs, and Katherine Waggoner. Pastor Charlie Perkins (back row in yellow hat) was leading the team for the third time.
