George Knight

On September 29, 1961, the Rev. George W. Knight III was installed as pastor of Immanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in West Collingswood, New Jersey. The Rev. LeRoy Oliver preached the sermon, the Rev. William Rankin delivered the charge to the pastor, and the Rev. Everett DeVelde delivered the charge to the congregation.

Mr. Knight served the Immanuel Church until 1965, when he became stated supply at Covenant Presbyterian Church (RPCES) in Naples for five years before beginning a 20-year tenure in the New Testament department at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. From 1989 to 1994 he was Dean of the Faculty and Professor of NT at Knox Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, after which he returned to North Carolina and to the OPC, where he served as adjunct on the faculty of Greenville Seminary in South Carolina.
